Technology and Hands-On Experience.
Students in our intermediate grades have a growing independence, and are inquisitive, and anxious to investigate the world around them. At BSS, students are engaged in the world around them. Teachers facilitate learning through the use of technology and hands on experiences. Intermediate grade students, working in pairs and with small groups, apply their knowledge during project-based learning.
Student products show the outcomes of their observations and experimentations in science and math, and analysis and applications of their knowledge of society in ancient Egypt, Rome, or Greece, the Renaissance, or the lives of American Indians or early settlers in our country. Creativity is expressed through writing, art, music and service.
