Dear Current and Prospective Blessed Sacrament Families,

You have an important financial decision to make for your family.  You must decide how to finance your tuition at Blessed Sacrament School.  In this  letter, I want to summarize some of the returns you can expect from your investment at Blessed Sacrament School.  Most importantly, I want to explain how you can afford this investment for your child.

What kind of returns will my child receive from an education at BSS?

• Values-based teaching grounded in the tradition of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Superior education positions your child for a lifetime of opportunity.
• Caring and supportive learning environment enhances your child's self-esteem.
• Safe, secure, and peaceful atmosphere of respect is re-enforced through compassionate discipline.
• Open, collaborative communication focuses on what's best for your child.

You understand these values, but you may need a plan to finance your child's ability to experience them at Blessed Sacrament School.  Let me review the tuition at Blessed Sacrament School as well as the financial possibilities available to you.

Here are answers to frequently asked financial questions.

Who qualifies for financial assistance and how much assistance through the Parish can I expect?
Blessed Sacrament Parish has funds set aside each year to assist registered parishioners.
Financial assistance is based upon the family's income, number of dependents and any extenuating circumstances; therefore, no specific dollar amount automatically qualifies your family.  Financial assistance awards vary depending on each family's financial situation and the number of families applying each year.

When does the Tuition Management program payment begin?
Upon completion of the Tuition Management form, parents choose a method of payment (automatic deduction or coupon).
Blessed Sacrament School is on a 10-month cycle with payments beginning in July and ending in April.
The payment schedule is due on the 30th day of each month.

What if my financial situation changes during the school year?
In some cases a family's financial situation changes during the school year.  In these cases, the family is encouraged to speak with the Parish Business Manager.

The staff and I want to be a support of you in this process of financing our school's tuition.  We want to make sure that you have investigated and understand every option available to you.  If you have any questions, please contact me at 859-331-3062.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Maureen Hannon, Principal

P.S.  It costs more to educate your child than the tuition we charge.  In addition to the generous support of Blessed Sacrament Parish, we rely, as most schools do, on fundraising.  At Blessed Sacrament School, parents coordinate and implement our fundraising efforts. Our children are not asked to sell items. I encourage you to get invovled as a volunteer or a participant through our Development Committee, Merchadise Certificate Program and Parent Auxiliary.
