Thank you to the Parent Auxiliary's Certificate Program and the Development Committee for raising funds for our school and enabling our consistent improvement in technology, and instruction through professional development.
Ø Twenty laptop computers were purchased for teachers to keep up with the current technology needs.
Ø Former laptops used by teachers will be converted for student use and put on carts which can be used in our classrooms.
Ø Professional development for administrators and faculty of kindergarten through second grade attended multiple workshops on Response to Intervention, a researched based, data driven method of instruction. BSS is beginning Response to Intervention in reading and language arts with our kindergarten through second graders.
Ø Seven more Interactive Interwrite boards will be placed in the classrooms.
Ø A Clavinova piano was purchased for the music room.
Additionally, past Blessed Sacrament pastor, Monsignor Grosser left a bequest which enabled us to begin replacing windows in the front of the building, and refresh the office and entrance with new paint and flooring.
Finally, to remain current in methods and instruction, new reading and language arts textbooks were purchased for all students.
Blessed Sacrament School continually strives to provide a spiritual and academically excellent education for its students. We are looking forward to another successful year!
